Themes: Freedom of speech
This piece is a follow up to the really popular piece ‘avarice egocentric’ it is about freedom of speech and how we are slowly losing it. It depicts a guy in a Jesus like pose with his arms outstretched holding a large microphone this is wrapped and held in place by barb wire, some of the barbed wire is piercing his skin were he has small tattoos of Facebook and Instagram etc.
He has earphones and cable wrapped around his head, similar to that of a ‘crown of thorns’ on the earphone there is a clock set at 2pm this is a subtle nod to god, it’s the time Jesus apparently went to the cross, but this is actually fake news as it was 3pm when he went to the cross. On his chest he has the words ‘freedom of speech’ but with letters missing. He also has phrases on his ribs that are being eroded by the woke brigade, like ‘merry Chistmas’ etc. He is surrounded by an old council picket fence, with a sign saying, don’t take a fence snowflake- as everyone is so easily offended nowadays.
