James Leonard
James Leonard is a local artist who divides his time between painting the landscapes of Wales and the South of France. He studied Architecture at the University of the West of England, and specialised in its visualisation for more than a decade, he carries this across to his painting, blending architectural form and composition with a painterly sensibility. James enjoys exploring light and colour, most often exploring new approaches to paint contre-jour. James recently filmed for the next series of Landscape Artist of the Year, and will be appearing on the show in early 2024.
